Regional Dialogue Focusing on Food
Food is one of the most important links for achieving Sustainable Lifestyle. Think about what you are
consuming in a day and ask yourself these questions: are we getting enough nutrients? where does the food
come from; how is the food processed? how many single-use plastics are used for the meal and is it
hygienic? Even though as individuals, we want to have a sustainable lifestyle, there might be other
conditions, beyond our control, that do not support our desires. If we look deep down into the supply
chain, agriculture could be a starting point which has a large impact on the environment. How should we
deal with agro-industry waste? With the better systems, not only will the productivity of agricultural
increases, but also the consumers’ and workers’ health and lifestyle will be made better and more
sustainable. This course tries to bring the answer of how you can be involved in the food value chain and
how you can choose to have a more sustainable lifestyle.

Regional Dialogue Focusing on Tourism
Tourism is one of the hardest hit sectors due to COVID-19 pandemic. Huge portion of the GDP in many
countries comes from the tourism sector, and tourism has multi-faceted linkages across national, and
international, boundaries in lifestyles, economies, information, etc. After the pandemic, people have to
change their behavior and lifestyle so the tourism sector has changed too. We are living in new normal. In
this dialogue we will go down and take a look at some interesting case studies where you will learn what
problems tourism industry is facing, how they are reacting, and what entrepreneurs see as opportunities to
run their businesses sustainably. We will talk with experts on how Sustainable Consumption and Production
(SCP) can be an effective tool to plan for the tourism sector. You will see why SCP is very important for
now and the future of tourism growth. As we stated earlier that tourism is lifestyle. It is our
experience. If we change the tourism policy, the way the tourists will experience would often change too.

Regional Dialogue Focusing on Packaging
In this course we will learning embedding the concepts of Sustainable Lifestyles for Sustainable
Lifestyles for SCP with an additional focus on COVID-19. We will see the importance between sustainability
and packaging, the effect of packaging on the earth, the challenges in finding the environment-friendly
alternative, various stakeholders' view on sustainable lifestyle, and the story behind their quest to make
progress on sustainability. Moreover, with the widespread concern of COVID-19 pandemic, we will look into
how the packaging industry will adapt, and how the trend is going to be for this sector. At the end of the
course, we hope we will be aware of a global emergency. The world we want to be in the next few years is
dependent on what we see today and act today. If we see and are aware, and act to resolve the negative
impacts of packaging, we can do it together.
